Sandy is originally from Philadelphia where she received a BFA and MED from Tyler School of Art at Temple University. She taught art at Benjamin Rush Middle School for seven years.

In 1976 Sandy and her husband, Alex, moved to South Orange County, where her two children were born. Alex passed away in 1996. Sandy eventually moved to Laguna Woods in 2009 where she discovered Club House Four and the Ceramic Studio.

She took classes with Jay Sampson and is currently taking sculpture classes with Javier Alverez.

Sandy’s current interests besides sculpting are travel, jazz, dancing and the beach.
